Nutri-Link purchased additional shelter boxes this week to aid the immediate need for humanitarian relief in the earthquake initiated disaster.
Shelterbox is headquartered in Cornwall under the auspices of the Rotary Clubs around the world. They provide rescue boxes containing all the essential elements a family or groups of people who have lost all their possessions and access to sanitation and water require to survive.
Each box supplies an extended family of up to 10 people with a tent and lifesaving equipment to use while they are displaced or homeless. The contents are tailored depending on the nature and location of the disaster, with great care taken sourcing every item to ensure it is robust enough to be of lasting value.
