Michael Ash

Michael Ash DO, ND, BSc (Hons) RNT is a Retired Registered Osteopath (2022), Naturopath and Nutritional Therapist with in excess of 35 years of experience, including founding and then running a large, successful integrated medicine clinic. In addition, he is a published researcher and international lecturer as well as an entrepreneur focused on health-related business development.

Michael is the Managing Director and head of R&D responsible for business development, educational and financial control of Nutri-Link as well as the development of new products and research relating to the use of natural agents for the improvement of human health.

His unique experience of building successful companies as well as looking after thousands of patients provides him with a rounded background in the needs and expectations of practitioners, clinicians and their patients. He brings these skills to the ethos of Nutri-Link, where health care practitioners and their patients are placed foremost.

Passionate about education, personally completing in excess of over 200 hours of CPD/CME per year for over 30 years, he ensures that Nutri-Link invests in the future of all health care practitioners incorporating nutritional therapy through the delivery of postgraduate education seminars which Nutri-Link sponsors and organise every year.

He personally delivers lectures nationally and internationally on immuno-nutrition and regularly contributes articles to a wide variety of journals including peer-reviewed as well as contributing chapters for textbooks on the role of nutrition on the immune system. He is also the editor of the Clinical Education website and writes many of the reviews, commentaries and abstracts. He is also contributing editor for IHCAN – a journal for complementary and alternative healthcare professionals.

When not working he enjoys travel, reading, trail running and mountain walking as well as evolving new ideas.

Jeremy Hawkey

Jeremy Hawkey

Jeremy Hawkey BEng (Hons) mIoD is Operations Director at Nutri-Link and responsible for business development, marketing, operational, and financial control of Nutri-Link as well as new product innovation.  Jeremy is also responsible for the emerging subsidiary product brand, nutrigold.co.uk and education service, nutrihub.org.  The latter a nutrition education platform aimed at the public and practitioners.

Jeremy has been in the health product business since 2013 and also involved in progressive medical education and lifestyle led medical services. He brings with him 15 years of experience in business and IT systems with PwC, IBM and as an independent consultant.

Jeremy’s interest in health and nutrition started from a young age. He was bought up with family traditions and the eastern philosophy that food is a core element of health and healing. Jeremy’s primary focus has been to drive forward the key messages of lifestyle medicine and associated products and services with the long term desire to work with leading authorities in the health industry in the United Kingdom. The ultimate goal to help empower and enable people to optimise their health.

Outside of work he is a father of two, and enjoys reading, podcasts, travel, photography and running.

 

Sandra Wiggins

Sandra Wiggins

Sandra is the Operations and Human Resources Manager of Nutri-Link. She is responsible for the smooth day to day running of the business and the fast and efficient processing of orders through from the ‘Office to the Warehouse’ for picking and dispatch to ensure the needs of our customers are met to the highest standards.

The management of staff and resources is an essential focus for all small companies where genuine team building, rather than job filling is required. Her confident and unflappable manner means that all human resources requirements are kept up to speed with current legislation whilst she remains individually supportive to all staff.

She joined Nutri-Link in November 2004.

Sandra’s background was in Financial Services, having previously worked for 10 years as the  Branch Manager of a local Building Society. The organisational skills she developed in running a successful sales team and her strong commitment to providing the highest level of customer service have translated well to the practitioner and patient centered ethos of Nutri-Link.

 

Antony Haynes

Antony Haynes

Antony Haynes BA(Hons) Registered Nutritionist (mBANT & mCNHC) is co-founder of Nutri-Link Ltd and Head of Technical Services, responsible for the technical & practitioner support team and the assessment and co-introduction of new supplements to the UK market. He also manages and often presents our clinically focused webinars & seminars that practitioners find invaluable. He is responsible for the Clinical Education practitioner forum (CE Forum) in which comprehensive responses are made to case history enquiries from practitioners. 

Antony has been in private practice for 30 years, managing the nutritional needs of his patients which number in excess of 18,500.

In addition to presenting for Nutri-Link, he has presented lectures on Nutritional Therapy to many of the UK’s private undergraduate colleges where nutrition is the primary aim of the degree. He is also a successful, award-winning author of two books on nutrition, The Insulin Factor and The Food Intolerance Bible, and has appeared on television and radio.

With many years of successful, practical clinical experience, Antony remains focused on the essential requirements for a successful practice and develops educational aids and clinical strategies to help healthcare practitioners achieve their primary aim of improving the health of their patients.

Antony is an ION-trained practitioner, Antony has also met the strict criteria required for registration with the Nutritional Therapy Council (NTC)/Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) â€” the Professional Standards Council for the regulation of Nutritional Therapists. Antony is also bound by a strict code of ethics in clinical practice, governed by the British Association of Nutritional Therapy and Applied Nutrition (BANT).

Claire Gardin

Claire looks after the educational administration in the company from organising small regional workshops to helping plan International Institute for Functional Medicine education programmes. As part of the marketing and educational group she combines her administration duties with the evolution of the educational programme in a calm and efficient manner. Claire is also responsible for managing the social media components of the company including Twitter, FaceBook, LinkedIn and Youtube

Karen Devine

Karen Devine, CNHC Registered Nutritionist, mBANT, CNHC Registered Naturopath, Colonic Hydrotherapist, and Functional Medicine (AFMCP). She has been providing technical support to healthcare practitioners and their patients for Nutri-link’s products since 2007. To keep up to date with breaking developments in nutritional and functional medicine she attends many post graduate seminars including all the Nutri-Link post graduate educational seminars.

Karen studied at The Plaskett College of Nutritional Medicine and has run her own practice since 1999. She continues to see patients for private consultations, as this level of interaction is an essential component of being in touch with real patients and allows her to relate to the health care practitioners technical questions with a contemporary and experienced view. Karen has made appearance on TV, including:  GMTV,  The Spa of Embarrassing Illnesses and Teen Spa  sharing her knowledge of Naturopathy Nutrition and Detoxification.

Leonie Ash Registered Nutritionist MBANT, has been providing technical support to healthcare practitioners and their patients for Nutri-link’s products since 2000. To keep up to date with breaking developments in nutritional and  Functional medicine she attends the International Functional Medicine Symposiums in the USA every year as well as all the Nutri-Link post graduate educational seminars.

Having worked in sole practice for some years after qualifying as a Nutrition Consultant she took over the management of a large integrative medicine clinic for 6 years, looking after thousands of patients needs as well as managing staff and many health care practitioners.

Leonie has been in practice since 1996 and continues to see patients for private consultations, as this level of interaction is an essential component of being in touch with real patients and allows her to relate to the health care practitioners technical questions with a contemporary and experienced view.

Christine Bailey BSc, MSc, PGCE, mBANT acts as one of the key technical support team that manages the Nutri Link LinkedIn technical support network. This highly valued professional to professional resource seeks to provided clinical, scientific, molecular and mechanism pathways that assist practitioners in their day to day management of clients and patients.

Christine is a well known Nutrition Guru, Nutritionist, Coach, Chef and Food and Health Trainer. She has over 16 years experience in the food and health industry working with a wide range of clients from Corporates, Food and Health Companies to National Charities, Local Authorities and private clients. During her extensive training she gained a First Class Honours BSc in Nutritional Therapy at the renowned Centre for Nutrition Education and Lifestyle Management, a MSc in Sciences, Professional Chef qualification and Professional Teaching qualification PGCE in food, health and nutrition.

Christine Bailey is an award winning renowned degree qualified Nutritionist, Speaker, Chef, Food and Health Consultant and Author with over 18 years of experience.  She was awarded Coeliac Chef of the Year 2009 and supports many individuals and corporates on a wide range of health matters.

She also received the CAM award 2012 for outstanding contribution to the community.

She is a member of the Guild of Health Writers and writes regularly for many national magazines including Natural Health & Beauty, Health & Fitness, Men’s Health, BodyFit, Cook Vegetarian, Women’s fitness, Men’s fitness, Men’s Health as well as websites on food, health, family and women’s health. Christine regularly appears in the media and is a well known speaker on nutrition and health as well as cookery demonstrator at National Shows and Conferences throughout the UK.

She is the author of numerous health and recipe books including The Top 100 Low Salt Recipes, The Vitamix Cook Book, The Top 100 Recipes for Brainy Kids, The Juice Diet Book, The Raw Food Diet, The Functional Nutrition Cookbook and Nourish: Cancer Care Cookbook.

She regularly sees clients at her nutrition clinic in Reading and London, Harley Street as well as in workplace for Corporates and Health clubs.

She is a lecturer and module leader at the Centre of Nutrition (CNELM) and runs cookery and health days for heath care practitioners.   She also runs cookery courses for practitioners throughout the UK.

She is involved in corporate health work advising companies on strategies to improve employee health and presenting at seminars and conferences.  She supports many health and food companies providing nutritional expertise, media support including filming of recipes and talks on nutrition.

Leah Jamieson

Leah is a Sales and Customer Service administrator. She has lived locally for the most of her life, coming to us from the food service industry.
Leah is responsible for taking orders, customer service and practitioner registrations. Leah is the first point of contact for our new practitioners, so has a great knowledge of our customers. Additionally, Leah assists Claire with marketing and support for educational programmes.

 

Alice King

Alice works as a Sales and Customer Services administrator. She had re-located to Devon 4 years ago and has enjoyed the scenic change. Previously working for the NHS in the Radiology Call Centre, She has gained experience dealing with customers in various roles. She enjoys playing online games, going for long walks around Devon and likes spending time reading a good book.

 

Rachael Finch

Rachael is one of our Customer Services and Sales Administrators and she is also responsible for all purchasing for Nutrigold. Working for Nutrigold you have to be extremely good at multi-tasking in this varied role. Rachael has lived in Devon for most of her life and loves it here. When she isn’t working she enjoys walking her Cockapoo ‘Archie’ on Dartmoor, spending time with her family, going to the theatre and eating out.

 

Kirsty Unwin

Kirsty works as a Sales and Customer Services administrator. Previously she used to work in the Travel Industry where she travelled to many beautiful destinations. She has gained experience dealing with customers in various roles. She loves spending time with her family, going for long coastal walks and travelling.

 

Ailsa Reed

Ailsa works as a Sales and Customer Services administrator and is moving into supporting the Clinical Education team. She studied history at University and used this knowledge whilst previously working for English Heritage. Ailsa has a keen interest in CrossFit and has a young family whom she enjoys spending time with walking her spaniel on the many Devon beaches.

 

Sarah Catterick

Sarah works as a Sales and Customer Service Administrator for Nutri-Link assisting with order requests and sales administration. Sarah moved to Devon after living and working in Qatar. She has spent the bulk of her career working for the Ministry of Defence in a variety of roles. She loves Jimmy Choo shoes, travelling, paddle boarding, and likes to find the time to fit in lots of reading as well!

 

Naomi Bowden

Graphic Designer

Naomi joined Nutri-Link in early 2017 as the graphic designer. She has a background in digital agencies including website and mobile app design, with previous clients including South Devon College and Purple Bricks. Her key areas of expertise are branding and web design.

Outside of work Naomi loves fashion, a good book and the great Devonshire outdoors. As a Media graduate, Naomi has a keen interest in film production and a particular 

 

Philip Spicer

ICT Support

Phil is Nutri-Link’s IT Support. The IT and telephone systems at Nutri-Link are very sophisticated and are regularly updated as new technology evolves and stability is improved. Keeping control over the extensive budget, complex cabling, servers and staff requires an individual replete with expertise and endless patience.

Phil is trained in managing Windows and Microsoft servers and a well developed knack of finding problems quickly, fixing them and maintaining office sanity and security.

In his spare time he is a valuable member of the local amateur dramatic society where he looks after the electrics and show lighting.

 

Katarzyna Stecko

Web Developer

Katarzyna Stecko BSc(Hons) – Kate-  joined Nutri-Link in January 2008 and is the Web Developer. She is responsible for the smooth running of all Nutri-Link owned websites and Internet related projects. Kate redesigned the Company’s online presence and introduced modern Web technologies to improve existing and establish new communication channels with health care practitioners.

The email campaigns run by Kate have become the primary form of communication between the Company and Healthcare Professionals. Starting in 2008 we have reformed our E-News communications, providing  a comprehensive source of latest nutrition related information.

Kate’s background is in Information and Communication as well as Web Technologies. She began work at Nutri-Link as a student of the International project called Neisse University run between three neighbouring countries: Poland, Czech Republic and Germany before being taken on full time. At university she mastered the English language as well as developing a passion for working internationally. Although, she now runs her own company in Poland, Kate remains a valid member of Nutri-Link team, focused on quality and usability. Her continued desire to achieve high standards has brought Nutri-Link’s web presence and e-communications right up to date.

 

Lee Thomas

Lee manages the companies IT infrastructure and operations across hardware systems, payment gateways, phone systems and dispatch systems – providing maintenance and updates of key software solutions and management of our e-commerce and educational websites.

An innovative member of the team, an expert in customer service, performance review and team development. Lee creates plans and implements activities that support the development of the business and demonstrates a naturally positive attitude.
