The Hypothalamic-Pituitary Adrenal Axis (HPAA) dysfunction and how to correct it.

This webinar was postponed from the 20th October 2021 and will run live on this new date.

Imbalances in the HPAA are the frequent subject of undergraduate courses, post-graduate seminars and present regularly in clinic settings; they are something all NTs are familiar with. Problems with a dysregulated HPAA are synonymous with modern living and all that it brings in terms of stresses, pressures, 24 hour access to the internet, and especially since the world has changed since the advent of Covid-19. Fear, anxiety and depression have increased across the globe, prompting an exaggeration of HPAA imbalances and a reduction in resilience within the population.

In this way, there has never been a more important time to learn how to restore the natural balance of the stress response which is governed by the hypothalamus and pituitary and then expressed by the adrenal glands’ hormones.

Antony will describe how the HPAA works, and the consequences of what happens when it loses balance. He will describe lab tests and how they can guide appropriate Nutritional Therapy intervention. Antony will explore the many different nutrients and supplements that he has used in clinical practice over the past 29 years to resolve abnormal rhythms of the HPAA.

  1. Learn about the nature of the HPAA and how it can become imbalanced leading to chronic health conditions.
  2. Learn how emotional and psychological states and biochemical imbalances can all lead to the same thing: a dysregulated HPAA.
  3. Learn how HPAA imbalances can persist even when the triggering stressors are no longer present.
  4. Learn what dietary measures can best support someone with an HPAA imbalance.
  5. Learn what key nutrients and supplements can help restore the HPAA to a normal, healthy state.
