Auto Immune Focus 4: “Hashimoto’s”
Hashimoto’s is an autoimmune condition affecting the thyroid gland in which there are raised levels of thyroid peroxidase (TPO) and or thyroglobulin (TG) antibodies. The current medical treatment is to provide thyroxine to those whose blood tests reflect its need. This is palliative support, and very often fails to help patients restore their health.
There are, many different options where Nutritional Therapy can support an individual with Hashimoto’s and address the underlying causes. Antony will explore these in this webinar.
Hashimoto’s is one of the most common autoimmune conditions in the UK and the world, affecting many more women than men.
Antony will present the underlying causes of Hashimoto’s and describe the dietary factors that need to be considered when supporting an individual with this autoimmune condition. Antony will explain the key nutrients and supplements to be considered for therapeutic effect, and will explore the evidence for how key nutrients can lower thyroid antibodies.
