SIBO Revisted Webinar
‘Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth ‘SIBO’ has become a recognised term over recent years. In this webinar, Antony provides an update since the prior presentation in July 2020.
Small Intestine Bowel Overgrowth (SIBO) is a common diagnosis for many people with digestive complaints, and GPs are recommending that patients be tested more frequently than previously. There is a significant overlap with those who also have Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). However, there are a number of key questions to ask such as “why do so many people have digestive complaints?” and “why is the prevalence of SIBO rising?”
Antony intends to provide answers to these questions and more, as well as help the attendees with the following:
- Learn about SIBO, its signs & symptoms, and how common it is.
- Learn about the current testing methods for SIBO.
- Learn about major risk factors for SIBO, conventional and as understood by functional medicine.
- Learn about the underlying causes of SIBO including biliary issues, inflammation and mycotoxins.
- Learn about the dangers of iron supplementation in SIBO, even when anaemia exists.
- Learn about the important connection between SIBO and liver, gall bladder and pancreatic health.
- Learn about how to support people with SIBO with nutritional means.
- Learn about the low FODMAPs diet and others.
- Learn a sequence of intervention that can resolve the underlying mechanisms of causality.
