Caricol®Gastro contains a patented papaya preparation called Caricol® that has an acid-neutralising effect in the stomach. The special oat preparation produces mucilage from the fibrous substances in combination with the polysaccharides which lines and protects the stomach walls.
Oats are considered as a traditional remedy in Europe for gastrointestinal and dermatological inflammations and irritations. Avenanthramides, effective polyphenols are specifically responsible for the anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving proprieties of oats. In-vitro studies have shown that avenanthramides inhibit the release of inflammatory mediators such as interleuking-6 (IL-6) and Interleukin-8 (IL-8) and therefore quickly and sustainably calm and irritated stomach mucosa. Beta Glucan has shown to have soothing effects on the mucosa.
One 20g stick of Caricol®Gastro contains 0,5mg gluten. For comparison Spelt flour 2060mg gluten/20g, Wheat flour 1720mg gluten/20g, oat flour 1120mg/gluten 20g.
Papaya has enjoyed an excellent reputation in tropical countries as a fruit that promotes wellbeing. Based on its wealth of precious substances and digestive promoting properties, the South America Indians name the papaya the ‘tree of health’. One ingredient in the papaya is essential for digestion, namely the enzyme Papain that has an alkaline effect on the stomach, is easily tolerated and contains many essential amino acids as well as high quantities of minerals such as calcium, magnesium, potassium and the fibre pectin.
The recipe for Caricol ®Gastro originates from the Lotus Buddhist Monastery, a temple in Hawaii. The great Dharma Master and founder of the Lotus Buddhist Monastery, Ji Kwang Dae Poep Sa Nim developed the special manufacturing process that concentrates and increases the natural properties of the papaya and oats on the mucosa of the stomach and intestinal tract, knowing the importance that an excellent stomach and intestinal mucosa have on the entirety of our wellbeing.
The original household remedy of the monastery adds a valuable contribution to the wellbeing of humans under the name Caricol®Gastro. The patented preparation process releases special ingredients from the oats and papaya that nourish, strengthen and protect the gastric mucosa.

Water, papaya* 39.4%, oatflour 6.3%, organic apple juice concentrate, biotin, pineapple juice concentrate, yeast or lactic acid bacteria, papaya juice flavour, no preservatives or colourings, no added sugar.

Recommended use
2 sticks per day. Take each stick at least 15 min. before a main meal (e.g. lunch and dinner) or between meals.
